Are you overweight or attempting to conceal a figure flaw in your swimsuit?   You should know by now that solid colors are the most flattering.  For the natural beach girl look choose brown or jewel tones.  To accent a plain color bikini, consider adding an earthy piece of jewelry.  Rope, leather, silver and beaded designs are often featured in Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues.  This pinkyourlimb bracelet would go well with a bikini.  The bracelet was for sale on etsy and you can always hunt down similar design knockoffs at the local mall.  Try Claire’s.

Swimsuit designer Angela Chittenden created swimsuit designs like this lingerie and lace inspired one.  The Lady Lace design is one of the signature swimsuits for the Beach Bunny Swimwear brand line.   This same swimsuit was featured in Sports Illustrated.  Prepare to be slender to wear a lingerie inspired bikini.  The low cut waistline requires slim hips.  If you can’t make it work try to pair the top with a solid color scoop bottom.

If you are going to buy a designer bikini be sure to look for those extra special touches that make the product worth paying the one of a kind price.  This swimsuit from a small designer in Malibu called Ritual Brand bikini is a good example of designer detailing.  Not sure if Ritual Brand Clothing is still in business but her custom bikini designs sure were novel.

Beads, strings and cute ties make this swimsuit special

Notice the adorable beads both adorning the top and bottom sting ties.  Also, the criss cross detail on the bottom makes the swimsuit unique.   Very cute design.
