I’ve come across several magazine articles where men rate swimsuit styles and fashion trends. Surprisingly, men don’t like the micro bikinis because they leave little to the imagination. For girlfriend material, they unanimously like a bikini with some moderate coverage, such as this one.

When fashion trends are rated, men often abhor them. But one trend they don’t abhor is the off the shoulder look. Surprisingly, they think its plenty feminine and sexy.  So this suit wins a double whammy since it has the moderate coverage men love along with the sexy shoulder fashion trend men love.  Not sure if the shoulder strap comes off completely however you can always take it off the one shoulder and use the top as a basic bandeau when suntanning.

The cutouts add a little sexy suggestion to this black bikini without revealing too much skin. In addition to the cutouts the network element is black netting material that give the suit edgy texture and intrigue. The black strings are like basketball netting and it appears on the shoulder and hip which is hard to see in this photograph. It looks so hot!

The only serious problem with the one shoulder bikini or one piece swimsuit is that the tanning can be horrible. Wear plenty of sunscreen with this suit or sit in the shade. You don’t want a one shoulder tan. Definitely do not wear this suit to lie out in the sun days before you don your shoulder baring wedding dress!  Other than the potential tanning issue, it rocks!

This suit was featured on South Beach Swimsuits.  It’s a Becca 2012 network bikini. It has one shoulder strap with removable cups and adjustable removable swim strap and boning.  The bottom matches the top in styling and has the network detail and cutouts as well on the hip. This was one of the best sellers of 2011 and it carried over into 2012 as a keeper in the Becca line.

You would think that men would dislike one piece fashion, but in a recent magazine article I read that it’s a trend they actually like.  When it comes to fantasizing men might like the girl in the micro bikini, but when it comes to their girlfriends, men like a swimsuit that is classy, sexy, provides coverage and leaves a little bit to the imagination.  The all time favorite is a two piece bikini with moderate coverage but we know that some women just won’t go there.  If you have some flaws through the body and won’t don a two piece then consider a one piece sweet heart style suit.

Off the shoulder suits are actually rather attractive on women!  The downside is that there are obvious tanning consequences to wearing such a suit.  You should be pale and against the sun or wear ten tons of sunscreen with this suit because you definitely don’t want a ridiculous one shoulder tan!  As long as you’re prepared to hang in the shade or keep your skin protected, this suit rocks.  Designed by Calvin Klein, it’s a pebble print one shoulder swimsuit.  The pebble print looks exotic without the brash tackiness of a leopard print or reptile print.  This is more of a stone natural theme.  It’s pretty and the best thing about it is that the lines are clean and sleek.

The pattern here will hide tummy and hip bulge wonderfully, while drawing attention upward with the one shoulder strap up top.  The one shoulder styling, abstract flaw hiding pebble print, and ruched side detail for concealing fat and slenderizing make this suit very flattering.  The square strap accent is classy and this suit is well constructed with an interior shelf bra and full lining.  If you’re looking for something classy and chic that hides flaws through the tummy, waist and hip area then look no further.  You can find it in black pebble stone color or neutral at Calvin Klein for summer 2012.

If you want to disguise any lumps or bumps on the lower body you should definitely try black or brown boy-shorts. Any darker color will do as it will hide cellulite by giving more coverage than a standard bikini bottom.

The trick to the right boy short is to have the waist and leg fit nicely. You don’t want to hide the bulge then be muffin top over the waist line or thunder thigh exploding out of the boy short. Look for a stretchy material that still gives a soft slenderizing line at the leg and waist top.

I am not a fan of tankini but the tankini that I think looks the best are the ones that go with a boy short. Boy short tankinis actually work well if you wear them in the right venue. They work great for biking at the beach, rollerblading, or doing any light exercise activity. If there is exercise involved a tankini works.

This tankini has to be my all time favorite since it combines the halter top and the boy short which is the best tankini style combination. The boy short in the darker color hides the bulge and this bright multi color striped halter is the cutest ever. I found this one on style hive and it’s available at net-a-porter. I just love it.

If you’re shopping for coverage then you’re probably eyeing tankini’s and halter tops. This combo works great. The halter top will hide a tummy roll as it’s loose through the waist. The brown bottoms will slenderize. If you’re biking on the beach boardwalk this outfit would be a winner all around. I love it.   The sexy model shown here are well as the photograph are hot, hot hot!
