A flattering swimsuit is going to make the most out of all of the proportions of your figure. Whether you have a perfect ten figure or are a shapely plus size, these rules apply. It’s all about choosing the fabric, print, lines and the silhouette. And don’t forget color, one of the most important slenderizing fashion tricks of all.

A darker solid color blocked bottom will hide the bulge. You don’t just need black as any darker jewel or earth toned color is great for this purpose. To hide junk in the trunk you will also want a bottom with a good supporting and stretchy spandex fabric. These bottoms shown are figure flattering and the perfect color.

Use colors the swimsuit color to divert attention away from any hip or belly bulge flaws. The way to do this is as shown. Go for a solid darker color lower half and a light colored top which will give a body lifting illusion. This doesn’t just apply to two pieces it applies to one pieces instead. Look for darker color on the bottom and then a lighter color or a brightening detail on the top bodice of the suit to get the free body lift.

Clean looks are incredibly slenderizing. If you have a small bust you can wear a plunging neckline. If you have a bulgy bottom you can also give your small bust some top weight to balance out the heavier bottom portion of your body. Mix and match bikinis can be extremely flattering on women. Sometimes the suit comes as a mix and match set whereas other times you have to purchase the two pieces separately. The great thing about mix and match is that you can choose a different color or style of top and bottom. Each can be chosen to serve a purpose.

For example, a darker color bottom can be more slenderizing. Coupled with a different color top a swimsuit can still have a playful look without becoming too dark and dreary. A flatter chest can be enhanced with the two toned look as you can draw attention away from a problem area by creating the contrast with the two difference colors. You can show off a nice derriere and waist or long legs with a pale light color bottom like what is shown here. Hot!

To make yourself look slimmer try darker solid colors in the areas that need shape control. In addition, go for brighter colors in your most attractive areas to draw attention to those.
