Are you a woman who worries about hiding flaws in your swimsuit more than anything else? This is a common fear women have. They want to cover everything with figure flaws such as a chubby or loose skinned belly, a large buttock or love handles. Plus size women get into even more fears as they may not like the way their arms or chest looks. I have a best friend who is plus sized and she hates to show her cleavage when in fact her cleavage is a great asset!

She also hates the bat-wing look of the arms and shuns swimsuits for this reason. Whenever she wears a swimsuit it is likely to be dark colored, conservative, and frumpy. She winds up looking like a blob and guess what shows the most when you do that? The flabby arms! If you cover too much you wind up doing nothing to flatter your figure. Does this sound like you too? If so, you need to understand that your mind for a swimsuit should consider not just coverage. You must adopt the idea of bait and switch. Bait and switch means that you don’t just cover flaws you showcase assets. Showcasing assets is the key to looking better in swimwear. Every woman has some nice aspect to her figure and that’s what you must play up in order to play down the figure flaws.

So what if you feel that there is nothing on your figure to show off? Never fear there is always some aspect to your figure that is a positive and even if there isen’t you can expose an unexpected area of skin that makes a feature where there was none before. Look at this swimsuit depicted here, from designer Cala Ossidiana. It’s got the homemade, crochet, bikini look to it but it is extremely well constructed and far from flimsy. What’s great is that this unique swimsuit makes the woman’s back into a feature! If you have a chubby belly or flat chest for example, why not play up your back? It’s a great idea.

Most women have pretty nice backs yet they don’t realize that they can play them up. This suit is also flattering to the bottom with the scoop round bottom and the knotting at the lower back. It’s adorable! Remember that you can utilize a flattering color or feature an unexpected area of skin in order to downplay your other flaws. Bait and switch is an important trick for looking better in a swimsuit. Don’t just hide and cover the flaws. Play up and draw attention to your best assets because that minimizes the flaws and diverts attention away from them.

This black swimsuit is gorgeous.  The first noticeable feature is the color contrasting band which sweeps up to the shoulder straps.  Simple styles with a pop work really well to slenderize a plus sized body and this one piece does that perfectly with the straps.  That’s hot.  This is exactly the kind of pop you’d want on a black one piece suit.

Remember, black looks great on slender women but as you get into the plus sizes an all black swimsuit can be overwhelmingly black and make you look like a dark whale.  Not with this, since the fresh bright strap makes the suit a do.  I like how the soft fabric of this suit looks feminine and sleek but at the same time it pulls, hugs, and tucks you in all of the right places of the body.  A larger breasted woman can wear this as it has padding and a supportive elastic band running beneath the bust line.  It will keep you held up.

This wonderful swimsuit was found at swimwear365 in the UK.  The model is a beauty and she’s got curves to die for but you don’t have to be perfect to succeed in this suit.  It’s a smart style and will look fabulous on a heavier woman.  It’s a total ten out of ten winner for the plus sized woman.  The suit slenderizes and conceals, and the strapping up at the top actually leads the eyes way up above tummy, hip or leg bulge.  You get a free body lift.

Heavier women are often stacked but they don’t want to take advantage of that fact.  They should!  I can’t believe how plus sized women worry about chubby arms and body parts then totally hide the gorgeous breasts the have.  Playing up your ample assets in a tasteful way as demonstrated here is sexy.  This suit gives you an hourglass figure without letting anything hang out or sag.

This swimsuit is perfect for a plus size woman.  The solid darker brown from her chest down controls, minimizes and slims the body.  It is sleek and fabulous.

The top adds pizzazz with the dazzled breast decor.  This is plus size done right.  So many plus size women think they have to hide everything and that is wrong.  Your chest is going to be a strong asset.  Don’t hide it along with everything else as you’ll look liked a covered beach whale.   Don’t be afraid to promote fabulous assets because the overall effect is that other flaws are correspondingly minimized.  Slim girls have no qualms about working their positives and neither should the plus size lady.

This suit is available at the online swimwear store Leonisa.  Wow, Leonisa really understands how to make a plus sized figure look outstanding.  The fact that the suit has nice contrast while still keeping the dark brown, patterened brown and gold accent in the same color range is so cool.  The top draws the eyes up and lifts the body without creating a color clash.  Love this suit because it slenderizes and it looks hot.
