This target 2pc stripe tankini swimsuit is actually pretty sweet. I usually hate tankini’s so you either have to be uber hot to wear one, or it should look more like a one piece swimsuit in disguise.

I like the bandeau style cute top this tankini has, I like the toned down gold and white stripes, and I like the cute side tie strings that hand down and minimize large thighs.  The back is sexy too as it has an open back.

Target value swimsuit

This is one tankini I like. I like the way the stripes are not loud and obnoxious. I like the way the tankini portion covers the entire belly making it look more like a one piece swimsuit. Target swimsuits are priced nicely but you do have to search for the right one to be able to luck out and score something that looks expensive there. This one is a particularly good one showing that there are deals to be had.

I also like the price. The top is 18 and the bottom 15 making this tankini come in between 30 and 35 dollars which is a good value for a nice swimsuit. The stripes are a good color because it makes the swimsuit look young and hip (even though it is a tankini) without making it stand out too much with more obnoxious colored stripes.

If you are plus size this retro style bikini with the bandeau top will offer you good coverage and style. This is the swimsuit for the woman who just can’t stand to show her midsection. Maybe you just had a baby or have a muffin top, saggy skin or stretch marks. Maybe you just had a cesarean. Whatever the case even if you are simply self conscious about your tummy, this will cover it yet keep you in style.

Exotic bathing suits are in style.  Usually exotic swimming suits are the ones that have complicated cutouts, skimpy pasties, plunging necklines and one pieces that are barely there, skimpy slings of material.  The really skimpy exotic swimsuit is obviously going to work only for those girls and women that have fabulously sexy bodies.  You might be able to get away with wearing a skimpy number if you arrange yourself perfectly on the towel or lounge chair and never get up from it.

It’s almost depressing, but never fear!  Exotic swimsuits are starting to encompass all sorts of different styles.  Exotic does not have to mean skimpy and swimsuit manufacturers are figuring that out.  An exotic bathing suit is exotic mainly because its different.  There is a fabulous material, interesting texture, incredible fabric, just something that stands out from the crowd.  More and more, swimwear designers are creating bathing suits with exotic sensibility for the real women.

That means there is more coverage, body slimming features, and plus sizes available.  Just look for that added detail in the fabric, ties, closures, strings or clasps.  Something that sets a suit apart.

Blumarine is a historic brand line for the Italian company called Blufin S.p.A.  A passion and love of the sea was the inspiration behind their Blumarine label and swimsuit designs.  The fabulous exotic swimsuit shown here from their collection of a few years back makes the point that it doesn’t have to be the skimpiest one piece sling or thong to be sexy.  Just the dazzling tropical fabric and the purple trim with the butterflies make this boyshort romantic inspired.  The exotic element is that big sash tie ribbon for the halter top.  Rarely do tropical patterns look pretty since they are so easily touristy and tacky.  This one is the exception.  The fabric has a breezy romantic attitude, and its a boy short coupled together with a feminine unique top.  I love the thick ribbon tie back sash.

The trick when you look for an exotic suit (but aren’t going to make the squeeze into a micro mini bikini) is to stop looking for skimp, and start looking for uniqueness.  A unique color, stones, clasps, webbing, fabric, jewels, or any inspiration that makes the suit jump out at you is going to hit the exotic chord.  When trying on swimsuits you might encounter a few that work, but aren’t superstars.  Keep shopping because if  you try on enough suits you will eventually find the perfect bathing suit that flatters your figure and has a unique edge to it.  That’s the swim suit to buy.  It should have that exotic appeal without being ridiculously revealing.

No matter what your weight or figure type is you need to hold out for that swimsuit that you finally think, this actually makes me look great!  The swimsuit to buy is the one that is a definite yes in your mind, not a maybe or I’ll come back for it.

If you want to disguise any lumps or bumps on the lower body you should definitely try black or brown boy-shorts. Any darker color will do as it will hide cellulite by giving more coverage than a standard bikini bottom.

The trick to the right boy short is to have the waist and leg fit nicely. You don’t want to hide the bulge then be muffin top over the waist line or thunder thigh exploding out of the boy short. Look for a stretchy material that still gives a soft slenderizing line at the leg and waist top.

I am not a fan of tankini but the tankini that I think looks the best are the ones that go with a boy short. Boy short tankinis actually work well if you wear them in the right venue. They work great for biking at the beach, rollerblading, or doing any light exercise activity. If there is exercise involved a tankini works.

This tankini has to be my all time favorite since it combines the halter top and the boy short which is the best tankini style combination. The boy short in the darker color hides the bulge and this bright multi color striped halter is the cutest ever. I found this one on style hive and it’s available at net-a-porter. I just love it.

If you’re shopping for coverage then you’re probably eyeing tankini’s and halter tops. This combo works great. The halter top will hide a tummy roll as it’s loose through the waist. The brown bottoms will slenderize. If you’re biking on the beach boardwalk this outfit would be a winner all around. I love it.   The sexy model shown here are well as the photograph are hot, hot hot!
