I believe Boston Proper is a subsidiary of Chico’s – you might be familiar with their stores, that focus on fabulous slenderizing looks for real women. You will look fearless, feminine, enviable and chic in this retry style one piece. Read with pin polka-dots the style looks youthful but at the same time very vintage. Did you know that red attracts men? Red just stands out in the crowd and gives a big pop.

I found this swimsuit at Boston Proper. The shirring will slenderize and make a fuller figure look sensuous and voluptuous. The skirt carries down and gives coverage for a modest thigh. The bandeau style top and little ruffle add to the vintage inspired look of this pretty swimsuit.

Jantzen® Vamp Maillot is a one piece retro swimwear style with an elegant silhouette and front shirring. The popular Janzen style features a detachable strap and soft bra cups. The Jantzen-Vamp line features a flattering lower leg for a vintage, retro look. The bottom acts like a skirt because it slims the thighs and smooths the figure, but it does not look like a skirt as it is tight all through the body.

You might know about the recent trend that the younger women are wearing which is high waisted shorts. You see this shorts style at stores from Brandi Melville, Urban Outfitters to Forever 21 for the young crowd. Every one from Miley Cyrus to Jessica Simpson has been spotted in these high waisted so called mom jeans. Some thought the trend would be merely a flash in the pan but high waisted shorts still seem to be in style for certain fashion forward women who embrace the retro style.

Now guess what? This trend has actually found its way into the swimsuit world! I am not so sure I like the high waisted bikini bottoms but it is finding its place as a top swimsuit trends for 2013. One of my favorite swimsuit sites Doll Swimwear features these swimsuits for summer. They reflect a pinup style and have a bandeau bow top and a classic retro high waisted shorts bikini bottom. The Scrunch Butt style in back is a nice touch too. The top is lined with optional padding and the bottom is half lined.

10 Tips to a Beautiful Summer Body

To make yourself look slimmer try darker solid colors in the areas that need shape control. In addition, go for brighter colors in your most attractive areas to draw attention to those.
Try mix and match bottoms and tops because this lets you choose a top and bottom that fits the best to each of the top and the bottom. It also lets you get more or less coverage and support depending on where you need it.
For a larger chest look for styles that have a good support band and halter ties rather than spaghetti strap shoulder ties
Avoid all over flow prints and get prints that have solid colors in at least some of the print
Only buy tankinis if you can use the top to wear as sexy clothing since that makes a tankini more sensible and lets you pair it with shorts or a skirt cover up.

Don't just hide a particular flaw and then think you're done, you must couple that with drawing attention to another more positive area of your body
For shorter legs try a monokini or scoop style bottoms that go up higher on the sides since that always elongates the legs
If you are overweight don't hide everything make sure to use your cleavage to your adavantage as that is sexy and draws attention away from weight issued areas
For a boyishly thin figure try exotic one piece suits with prints and cutouts. Cutouts always give the illusion of curves
For a thick waist try a solid cover in front but show some interesting bare back or interesting neckline to draw attention away from the belly
