With the scorching heat and summer in full swing you may not be able to avoid a pool. One way or another, some how some way, someone is going to get you into a pool or beach situation where you are going to be subjected to wearing a bathing suit. Never fear! If you are self-conscious about your body in a bathing suit there are certain styles out there that can flatter your figure, flaws and all.

If your body flaw includes love handles you can utilize these helpful tips to find the swimsuit that minimizes chubby hips. First of all, you may want to go with the classic and versatile one piece swimsuit for this problem. While the color needn’t be jet black, you may want to stick to a darker color as that does help make you look slender.

Look for an inner panel design

One excellent trick for hiding your love handles is to look for the swimsuit that has an inner panel or seam running down the both sides of the front of the swimsuit. I just ran accross this sexy jeweled one piece Miracle Suit featured on a cute plus size swimsuit site called Just Swimmingly. This suit is actually available from Lane Bryant’s swimwear collection and I surely agree with Just Swimmingly for loving it. When you finally come across a plus size swimsuit that really nails it, all you can do is give praise, praise, praise to the the designer. This Lane Bryant one piece is really just fabulous.

The great thing about this swimsuit is that it is going to make you look 10 pounds thinner with the Miratex fabric that Miracle Suit uses. This is a great technology to smooth the tummy and hold together any bulges. A plus size woman will love this swimsuit. Of course this swimsuit does show some cleavage but I believe it is done tastefully. The jeweled strip adds a nice edgy and fashion forward touch to this swimsuit.

The ruched material around the jeweled center strip draws eyes away from the flaws and towards the assets. Focus flows up to the chest and the her face. To make yourself look slimmer try darker solid colors in the areas that need shape control. In addition, go for brighter colors in your most attractive areas to draw attention to those.
