swimsuit-kimono-coverup

Are you looking for a sexy coverup?  I love the idea shown here by this pretty lady.  She is wearing a kimono and it doubles as her swimsuit coverup.  I love this.  This is perfect for a plus size woman who feels huge in her bikini.  It’s the perfect slim down accessory.

Sheer feminine kimono

What separates this look from the moo-moo of yesteryear is that the fabric is lightweight and sheer, but still gives the visual slim down effect and covers a larger woman’s body perfectly!  She does not look like she is trying to hide everything but rather just looks soft and adorable.

You can find kimonos anywhere including online and also at various vintage stores.  Another piece that works just as well is a silky short robe that is actually lingerie. If you get a lingerie open robe in a soft light weight material it will work similar to the kimono.

This particular sheer kimono cover up has the sash tie so it can be worn open in front or tied. It also as you notice has draped sleeves which can conceal large arms and/or a hefty upper body and shoulder area.  I just love this look and it really can make a larger, boxy or plus size figure look more feminine and voluptuous.

This particular swimsuit coverup was listing on Overstock.  If you search for kimonos you should be able to find some cute coverup options such as this kimono shown here.

I ran across this beautiful swimsuit cover up when browsing the online store Kayokoko Swimwear.  This skirt is a delightful and feminine swimsuit coverup. Perfect for the woman with large thighs, it can hide a pear-shaped bottom wonderfully.

Pear shaped bottom

A pear-shaped figure can be hard to fit for a swimsuit but there are plenty of ways to accentuate the positive on this type of figure.  Usually pear-shaped women are gorgeous up top but packing a little extra weight or flab down lower.  In comes the long skirt and wedge heels, which makes this figure type look instantly sumptuous and voluptuous rather than bottom heavy.

Try a long slit skirt as they look gorgeous on pear-shaped figure

The long skirt shown here is wonderful!  Its called the Arcadia long skirt and it’s from Ondademar Swimwear designer.  It’s part of their 2014 collection. What is fabulous is that the material conceals but at the same time there is a sexy slit and the fabric is lightweight, flowing and feminine.  This is the perfect figure flattering skirt for a woman who wants to hide big thighs or a jiggle booty. It also looks great on an older woman who may have a flatter bottom that has lost some of its volume.

Lengthen short legs with a neutral colored high heel wedge sandal

Another great figure flattering tip shown in this fantastic photograph for Ondademar is that you can accentual short legs or a pear shaped bottom by wearing a higher wedge heel.  Notice that the wedge heel is in a neutral color, which is key.  Rather than drawing attention, these blend in sandals add height and make her legs look miles long.  Awesome.

Great tips shown here by Ondademar.  Try a long slit skirt in a feminine flowing material to help flatter a pear shaped bottom, a flabby bottom, a flat rear, or short legs.  The feminine flow and long leg illusion is going to bring out the best for sure.  Lovely! Check out Koyoko Swimwear online.

slender-tummy-swimsuit

Do you have a belly bulge that you would like to conceal in a swimsuit?  Here are a few style tips for creating the appearance of a slender tummy.  I am lacking the purchase source for this fabulous brown one piece swimsuit but will point out the great style concepts you can learn from this photograph.

Solid color swimsuit gives you a slender tummy

For a slender tummy go for a solid color in a darker tone, not necessarily black.  The all over effect will sleeken the body.  One color hides the fat and darker colors are most concealing.  For a larger body, stay away from all black and choose a deeper blue, plum, green, brown, gray, or emerald color instead.

Detract the eye to other areas which makes tummy look slender

To hide the tummy employ a tad of the bait and switch trick.  Accentuate other beautiful aspects of your body and appearance.  Try big hair, or sexy hoop earings, or a plunging halter top.  This all detracts the eyes away from the tummy and redirects attention elsewhere. The result – a slender tummy illusion.

Pay for quality tummy control fabric

A thicker, miracle type fabric will hold in the bulge much better than a thin bathing suit fabric.  This is where the tried and true brands like Gottex and Miraclesuit are winners.  The fabric is very sturdy and solid and this controls the tummy and bulge much better.  Likewise, higher quality swimsuits for women have built in bras and other aspects of support that make a woman look slender.

Look for flattering styles

Find the swimwear styles that flatter your body the best.  This requires that you invest some time into your swimsuit purchases.   Before you buy a swimsuit you should be trying on 20-30 swimsuits to see what looks best on you.  This is a frustrating process but necessary to find the styles that really suit your figure.

This photograph shows a wonderful tummy slendering swimsuit.  The belt is adorable and it smooths and conceals a tummy bulge.  The brown color is rich and luxurious but not too all black as to stand out like a sore thumb.  Finally, the plunging halter neck shows that if you accentuate other aspects of your appearance such as hair or cleavage, that your tummy will be effectively make to look slimmer.  This swimsuit is a definite winner.
